Laundry...

Have you ever encountered a time when some people (not all) decide to discuss their personal matters through local websites or statuses? For instance, of course we all know the ever popular sites of Facebook & Myspace. There are 2 groups of people who use these sites:

There is group A who uses it the way it should be used....to communicate or network with friends, plan events or outings, and display pictures to show cool stuff like family gatherings, hang out times, etc. Awesome! :) Group A is the group that enjoys organized chaos, fun communication, and basic "catch up" time when the world keeps 'em busy. :)

Then....dum de dum dum...there's group B: Group B are those that decide to display personal matters such as family disagreements, friendship troubles, etc. on their status bar. They favor creating pity parties for themselves. They crave for people to ask them "Oh, what's wrong?" when their status bar claims a "dramatic experience" that has overcome them. Ever seen those? Oh, you must see those for a good laugh. ha! Here's some:
"Blank is....disrupted by relatives"
"Blank is....sure the world will end soon for him/her."
"Blank is....so mad that 'certain people' disagree with him/her. " (Okay, with this one: Obviously
subscribers will know what's goin' on especially if they are part of the "certain people"
reference. Duh! lol)

Think about this for a moment: Which group do you belong to? Group A or B? I personally would not air out "family laundry" on my status bar. Whatever struggle or anger you have....talk about it with God or a close friend "outside" of cyber world. Do not post it on a website, make matters a WHOLE lot worse, and have people feel sorry for you (and most of the time, those who feel sorry for Group B don't really know the other side of the story). Overall, I proclaim to be in Group A. We, who follow in Group A, speak the truth and do not have to hide behind our status bars or profiles to express how we're feeling at any given moment.

Hey, what group are you in?

Until next time, friends. :)

A new year has arrived...

So, it's now 2009, friends! :) Jay and I spent New Year's Eve at my parents' house in Taylors. My sister and Jonathon were also there with my niece and 2 nephews. My mom made a huge, delicious dinner and needless to say, we were stuffed by the end of it. lol In addition, Jay taught my stepdad and my sister, Tina, how to play Guitar Hero. It was a riot! lol My stepdad couldn't really grasp the hang of it til the very end. However, he did enjoy acting as if he were a rockstar. lol My sister caught on rather quickly after a couple of tries. She loved the graphics the video game had to make it all seem like a real concert and real musicians playing. Good times! :) Then, we brought out that famous Welch's white, grape juice bottle as we all watched the ball drop at Times Square on television.

My mom and I enjoyed taking silly pictures together and of course, I also had to take family pictures so that I could remember the night. Fun times! :) I'm glad we were able to go over there and spend the evening with family. Of course when midnight hit, our cell phones started ringing with relatives from around the country calling to wish us a "happy New Year!" Jonathan was even able to talk to his mom in Costa Rica with a calling card he purchased earlier. Jason and I arrived home after midnight and even stayed up a bit longer watching television.

Happy 2009, friends! We're blessed with the friendships we have for yet another year and for new friendships we have begun. Until next time, friends. :)
